A little about momma...

I decided to write this post because I love not only reading about others children but I also love reading about the mothers. What they do, where their from and their loves and favorites. So I thought I would do a little section about me. I'm 28 and proud to call myself a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom). It's what I've always wanted to do, raise a family. After high school college never really crossed my mind, all I wanted to do one day was raise a family. I did go to Ivy Tech for a couple of years for business. I felt a little pressured to do "something". After that I got a job at a local doctor's office and ended up working there for 5 years. I enjoyed it, but later quit and went to work for my dad. My family owns 2 garages, one my mom runs outside of town and the other my dad runs in town. My Grandpa started his first business back in the early 50's, so it's definitely been a family thing. I met my husband Adam in June of 2002 through some mutual friends. We started dating and that September he purposed. In May of 2003, we we're married. Everything pretty much happened within a year, and lots of people thought it was happening fast. Not us though, we knew it felt right. On our 4 year anniversary I was pregnant with the boys. And 2 days before my 28th birthday I was officially on "hospital" bed rest. One day I went in for a routine check-up. During that visit they noticed my BP had started to go up so they sent me to the hospital for more tests. To make a long story short I had pre-eclampsia and the next time I stepped foot into my house I was a mother of triplets. I spent 2 days at Bloomington Hospital then was taken by ambulance to IU Hospital in Indy where I stayed until 32 weeks pregnant. The day they decided to do the c-section Riley informed them there was only room for one more baby, not 3. So instead of having the babies there then me staying at IU and the babies being transferred to another hospital they again sent me by ambulance to a Hospital in Carmel. The staff was literally waiting for me and within 30 minutes of arriving I was back in the OR. Baby A (Brody) B (Logan) and C (Seth) arrived at 5:29, 5:30, and 5:31pm. After all was said and done I had spent 4 weeks at in-home bed rest and 32 days hospitalized. Now 9 crazy months later we have moved into our new home Adam built and counting down to the boys 1st birthday!

Let's see, somethings that I love are....coffee! And no it's not because I need the caffeine, although it DOES help, lol. I've always loved coffee, even drank it when I was little. My crazy mutt Diesel, he's been such a great dog and kept me company through the at-home bed rest. Adam even brought him up to the hospital for a cheer up visit. I love to read, although I don't have much time anymore and sometimes when I think about it I really miss it. My all time favorite is Nicholas Sparks. That guy hasn't written a bad book yet, and they always turn into great movies. I also like all of Janet Evanovich's Plum novels, they crack me up and once I start them their hard to put down. The farmer's market is something else I enjoy, and I don't even have to buy anything just walking around there in the morning I love. Even though I'm probably going to get made fun of a guilty pleasure is 80's rock bands. I love country music but I really really love Poison, Motley Crue, Scropians, and Bon Jovi. I crank it up and it always puts a smile on my face. ;0)

Well I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me. Thanks to everyone who visits the boy's blog. I've really enjoyed putting this together. It gives me some time to myself when the boy's are napping or late at night and it keeps everyone updated on how their doing. It's hard to believe how big their getting. Take care!

Thanks for sharing. I love hearing about other MOMs. All our stories are so different yet strangly similar.
