I gotta say it feels so good to wake up to warm mornings and the sun shining. Heading out with the boys and not having to pile on clothes and bulky jackets. LOL
We've been doing great. Spending lots of time outside. Almost everyday by 10am I start hearing "go out! go out!".
Days are still chaos and while somedays I think I'm loosing my mind the boys are getting so much more fun. Watching them grow and start doing things that they couldn't do last year puts a smile on my face.
They eat all.the.time!!! Seems like if I'm not fixing a meal I'm grabbing a snack. LOL They're obsessed with "choo choos" & ice cream or as they call it "eye keem".
They discovered the word MINE! and have regular wrestling matches too. haha

Every once in awhile I come across something so cool I have to share. Something that if it makes my days easier I'm in love and have to share it with the rest of the mommy's out there. LOL

These little contraptions are one of the best inventions ever!
And while we still use sippies most of the time we try to give the boys cups with straws as often as we can. Juice boxes are so convenient but I got so sick of the messes. These limit them and the boys love them because they think they're "big boy cups". :)

Good Reads

Nothings worse than buying a book to only discover by Chapter 2 you hate it. LOL So since I haven't discussed what I've read lately and some of them have been really enjoyable books I thought I'd share. So here's a few of my recent favorites.

First off those of you who know me know I love fantasy fiction. Monsters and other crazy adventures is my preference in reading material. So I'll start off with those.
Shiver

Every year during the winter months Sam turns into a wolf. Then one day he meets Grace. Find out what happpens to their romance in this awesome book.
Part 2 "Linger" is set to be released July 20th.

The Dark Divine

Character Grace, a local pastors daughter, knows something awful happened between her brother and his friend one night a few years back. Her brother's friend has returned and now she has to decide who to choose, her brother or her growing attraction to his friend Daniel.

Beautiful Creatures

This story takes place in the small southern town of Gatlin. See what happens when new girl Lena arrives and moves in with her uncle, the towns one person who no one ever sees and who all is terrified of.

And my new absolute favorite, Hush Hush.

A wonderful story about a sacred oath, a fallen angel, and forbidden love.
I started this book and couldn't put it down. I cannot go on enough about how much I love this book. I finished it in less than 24hrs and I'm anxiously waiting on part 2, Crescendo which is set to be released November 16th.

So for those of you who don't enjoy books like that here's a couple I think you'd like.
The Lucky One

When US Marine Logan finds a picture of a young girl along the beach during his tour of duty in Irag he brings it back to the base for someone to claim. When no one does for reasons he doesn't even know, he puts it in his pocket and keeps it. Soon a sudden streak of luck follows Logan everywhere he goes.
Once back home in Colorado he's determined to know the face in the picture.

Perfect Chemistry

A boy from the wrong side of the tracks takes on a bet to win over the popular girl in school. What starts off as hatred towards one another turns into something much more.
Maybe I'm just a sucker for bad boy/good girl love stories but I really enjoyed this book. Part 2, Rules of Attraction is set to be released April 13th.

Yep that's right, I jinxed myself! After I went on and on about how healthy the boys have been what happens? I got a sick red head and the other two coughing! Hopefully it's nothing big and something they can all get over fast. I fixed chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese for lunch today and gave them all some motrin. Hopefully some good naps will help too.
Just goes to show never brag or it'll back fire on you everytime! LOL

Well the boys have really took off with speaking. It seems like everday a new word is coming out of their mouths. LOL The basics are becoming more popular now, were as before we would hear them in spurts. Tattle telling has became a huge hit too (oh boy!). Seems like someone is always saying "momma ookey wha he do!" or when I ask who did it "I donno know". And yes I know it's only going to get worse. LOL Brody's got the animal noises down pat. That kid knows so many animal noises it'll be hilarious this summer at the zoo. He does a pretty killer kitty noise too. ;) Logan's became big on monsters and loves to scare and be scared. He cracks me up and never ceases to make anyone around him laugh.
Seth is such a homebody. That boy loves home, and is just content with being here. While the other two like to go go go. He'd rather be curled up in the recliner with Dino or downstairs playing. Definitly a hermit (his new nickname Daddy gave him LOL) which I can be most of the time however I'm so ready for Spring, and parks and trips to the zoo. :)
It's started to warm up a little bit which I hope isn't a tease. Seems like it never fails that around this time of year it starts to warm up only for it to drop to freezing again.
The boys have hit 2 big growth spurts since Christmas leaving me to have to go through the closet yet again clearing out clothes that are too small for them. I look at them and cannot believe how fast they've grown and how big they've gotten. While I'm so thankful (and knock on wood) we've had no trips to the Dr this winter I'm curious to see how much the boys have grown since their birthday. Logan's still the tallest by a close 2 inches. And while Brody and Seth are the same height, our little stockey bruiser Bear still weighs the most. He's already wearing some 3T pants!

I guess it's time to mention my new adventure, jewelry making. What started off as just something small for my friends has turned out to be a little website and side hobby for me. Last month I created Wolf Girl Creations. Hand made jewelry made by me and inspired by the ever so popular Twilight Saga. While right now the store is only "twilight" related items I will eventually have other stuff available. It's really taken off and I couldn't be more surprised by it or more thankful for the orders and sweet comments.

For those of you wondering, WE'RE ALIVE!!! LOL :)
I know I know I've been terrible at updating the boy's blog but in all honestly I haven't really had anything to post. Since ole man winter came knocking we've been trying to stay put as much as possible. So our planned trips to the Museum or Wonder Lab has been put on hold until all these flu bugs are gone. Seems like so many kiddos have been sick recently and it's not worth it to take the chance so besides a few quick errands to Target or Sams we've pretty much stayed cozied up at home.
As far as the boys go their doing great and (knock on wood) are healthy and happy.
Seth's still spunky as ever and still loves wrestling and pestering. He's taken a liking to cooking and helps me almost everyday with either lunch or dinner.
Logan's doing good too. And has really gotten into puzzles. He loves working on them and could sit at the table and just do one after another.
And of course Brody's still loveable as ever. Giving kisses to everyone who let's him. We recently discovered he LOVES salads which has made me exstatic! :D
Their favorite movie is still Cars and I ended up having to buy another one because they wore the first one out! I didn't even know that could happen to a DVD but that gives you an idea of how much it's played. LOL
Since they love movies so much they went for their first time at a theater to see the new Chipmunks movie. I'll admit it, I was nervous. But they did really good and had a blast.
We finally got the basement finished and now they have it to run around in which helps so much in not having tons of toys under my feet on the main level.
They love it, we love it and with it being winter they can still burn enough energy off and not feel so cooped up.

A VERY Merry Christmas!

I know I'm a few days behind but time has flown by! We had a wonderful Christmas. And the boys made out like bandits needless to say. We heard lots of "wows" & "whoas". Sweet music to this mommy's ears.
So the HUGE hit was a Step 2 Kitchen from my parents. The boys have played with it non-stop and absolutely love it!
Let's see, for Brody his favorite toy from Santa was a Mickey Mouse doll that sings the Hot Dog song. He'll start dancing and singing right along with him.
Seth got a Spike Jr which he's crazy about. And Logan was exstatic about his Mac truck he got.
So here's a few pictures and we hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas too!

Santa's coming to town!

So yesterday Adam had got off work early and we decided we take advantage of it and take the boys into town to see Santa. Well when we got there he was on lunch break so we decided to walk around and see the trees and lights. No stroller, nothing and they did awesome. Walked around the whole mall and besides a few moments of thinking they were too big to hold our hands they were perfect. Then we make our way back up to Santa and the meltdowns began. Brody and Logan was eager to see him but then wouldn't stand in front of him and just fell to the floor. Then there's Seth, not sure what was going on with him but he was NOT happy as you can see in our picture. However as soon as we left they were perfect....go figure.
After I saw the picture I just had to laugh. Yes it'll be sweet one day when they all 3 run up to Santa's lap, tell him what they all want and pose for that perfect picture. But it's then when I'll also miss the younger days and moments like this. Even though the days don't have enough hours in them and now I know the true meaning of stress and exhaustion these boys never cease to make us laugh and give us love back.
Besides I've learned over the past year that getting a good picture with multiples means their all in the same photo. :)

I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone! It just seems like the year has flown by. The boys had a wonderful turkey day. They ate a ton, played hard and yep even got into mischief. :) I almost forgot I even had my camera and to even take pictures until the end of the night! So here's a few of the boys and their cousins playing around.

So of course I went shopping on Black Friday with my partners in crime Amy & Brandy. We had a blast (like always) and even better, my shopping is 95% done! WHOO HOO!
Besides a few small things and the boys stockings I'm finished. It feels like one less thing to worry about.
We've been continuing to work on our basement. Cleaning, painting, you know the fun stuff. (eye roll) We had to order our carpet and we finally after 2wks of waiting got it in so I have to get busy and get my part finished so Adam can get the carpet laid. I can't wait to get all their toys down there and to see their faces when they see their new hide out. :)

Well we hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. Next week I'll be redoing the boys blog, prepping it for Christmas.

This Halloween was so much fun with the boys. It was the first year they understood going door to door and most of all unserstood candy! LOL While I tried very hard I unfortunatly didn't get one group shot. They just wouldn't have it. :( So here are some shots of them through out the weekend. We did go to a festival and they took our picture there. When I see it if it's worth sharing I'll be sure to post it.

The Children's Museum!

Yesterday the boys had their first trip to the Children's Museum and they loved every bit of it. Even me and Adam really enjoyed it all. I noticed in a few weeks their Winter Wonderland will be going on so we'll definitly be taking a trip back up there for that.
It was so cute to see how each of them had their own thing they enjoyed the best.
For Seth it was the HUGE Dinosaur models when we first walked in. As soon as he saw them he started screaming and clapping his hands and holding up "Dino". The Dinosaur exhibit was very cool too but I think Red was a little confused by the the skeleton models of his beloved Dinosaurs. :D
Then there was the drawing table. I know what your thinking drawing, coloring we can do that at home no big deal. I agree however I couldn't pull the boy away from it. He spent tons of time just sitting there and drawing, he loved that little area. lol

I just LOVE this picture.

For Brody his favorite part was this train that moved by using your hands. He loved it and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Then they had a Bobcat sitting off to the side. As soon as he saw it his eyes got great big as he says in that sweet whisper "whoa". lol It didn't surprise me at all to see him go crazy over these things. He loves figuring out how things work and playing with his tools and fixing his "cars" and LOVES dadda's tac-tor.

And last but certainly not least we have Logan. :) This boy never fails to crack me up and be entertaining. He LOVES cars Monster trucks and choo choo's so again I wasn't surprise to see his face light up at the train exhibit. He also got a huge kick out of the Indy 500 car and probably would have sit in it all day had we let him. lol

We also took a carasol ride...

And of course HAD to take a snack break and refuel with some chocolate milk.

For mommy I think my personal favorite was the Star Wars exhibit!

Pumpkin Patch!

Adams on vacation for the next two weeks so today we loaded up the van and headed to a orchard in Trafalgar to pick up our pumpkins. The boys had a blast and the place was very pretty. We'll definitely be returning.
They have a little store, beautiful pond, petting zoo and play areas for kids. It was in the high 60's and sun all day, perfect weather!
Later this week we're going to Zoo Boo at the Indianapolis Zoo so we'll post pics after our trip there as well.

Twilight Convention

So for those of you who know me know it's absolutely no secret how big of a Twilight Saga fan I am. And while I really try hard to keep this blog about the boys, I've had too many people ask me about my trip so I decided to post it.
So let's go back to where it all started... ;)
Last October everywhere you looked there was hype regarding a movie coming out called Twilight. I knew that it had originated from a book but to be honest had no interest in reading it. Not because it was about vampires, no I LOVE stories of vampires, werewolves, monsters and magical powers. I love reading stories that can take you into a whole other world. And I remember it beginning when I was young thanks to my dad. I remember so well watching the Lost Boys for the first time, I was hooked. The reason I didn't care to read it was because it was classified for young adults and teens and being honest I thought it'd be boring. BUT a few weeks before the movie came out I finally had to know what the big deal was all about and decided to read it. I couldn't believe how much I fell in love with the story and characters and in less than 2 months read all 4 books. Now it would've been sooner I know but remember I had one year old triplets to take care of! LOL
So since then I've collected Twilight items, joined Twilightmoms.com, met some wonderful ladies who some are now close friends and then just recently went to the convention. Everyone wants to know what Adam thinks of the whole deal. He teases me every now and then but in the end says I could have worst addictions. ;D

So last Friday morning at 5am I took off and headed north first stopping in Indy to pick up a friend and fellow Twilight Mom Pam. We were off and ecstatic. Once we arrived I think we were both in shock that for one we were away from home, (it was my first time away from the boys) and that two there was such a place to fuel our obsession. LOL
Friday was such a good time. We got check in and walked around to vendors selling items. Went to panels with actors and others related to the saga. We met Tinsel Korey and Charlie Bewley. Then Friday night went to a concert which was a blast! By the way Tinsel Korey who will play Emily in New Moon performed and did amazing. She has such a beautiful voice. Go check out her myspace! My personal favorite is Into the West.
Saturday was the day I was looking forward to the most because as most of you know I'm "Team Jacob" and love the wolf pack. It was their turn to show up on the panel and a chance for us to meet them. We also met Michael Welch and Justin Chon who play Mike and Eric for those of you who have seen the Twilight movie.
That night me and Pam then met up with fellow Twilight Moms. It was so cool finally meeting these ladies who we had been talking to online. :)
Sunday the convention continued but me and Pam headed home. It was so much fun and we had a awesome time. We're already looking forward to next years convention which thankfully will be in Indy. Less driving, closer to home and way more convenient!
So for right now we're counting down to November 20th when New Moon is released. And for those of you who are wondering....YES, I'm going to the midnight premier and have already bought my ticket. ;D
Just a heads up for anyone local interested in seeing the midnight showing. 12:01 & 12:04 is sold out but they have added on another showing for 12:07. To me it's dumbfounding to think that it's still a month away until the movie and theaters are selling out everywhere.

Welcome to the 2's

The boys and us have been doing great, no sick lings (knock on wood) and everything around here has been going pretty smooth. We have been running into a few temper tantrums and they've learned to test us as in how far they can go which has just been a added bonus. As everyone has told me already, "welcome to the terrible 2's". Greeeaaat! :) What one don't think of the 2nd will as the 3rd encourages them on. LOL
So now we can get into the fridge, open the microwave (which now is broke thank you), turn on the dishwasher even if there's no dirty dishes and routinely get up on the counter top without a boost. However they've turned into helpers as well. They LOVE to watch me cook, help me sort laundry and start new loads, and even pick up their toys when asked to help. Their eating like crazy! It seems like their always hungry or thirsty. Now breakfast has been bumped up from 9-9:30 to can't hardly wait til 8. Throw in a mid-morning snack too before lunch and dinner can't come soon enough some nights. LOL
They've really gotten into Legos, wrestling (mom has to ref some days), Scooby Doo, and drawing. So since it's officially Fall, my favorite time of year, I'm going to be working on re-doing their blog and decorating it. So you'll be seeing some changes with it over the next couple of days. My main goal is to get a group picture of them in their costumes which those with kids know how difficult that can be. LOL

I know I haven't posted in awhile but honestly things have been pretty mellow around here and there hasn't been much excitement going on to post about. :)
We've been enjoying the pretty days by going to the park alot and to the zoo. And have recently started working on the basement trying to get in ready to turn into the new toy room. For those of you who don't know it's unfinished and we're trying to get it in shape so the boys will be able to run around, play and ride their toys when the weather starts getting nasty. So mommy's really looking foward to that.
The boys are doing great too. We went to their 2yr check-up and it was nice to see how much they weighed and had grown. Brody weighs the most, but only beat Logan by a ounce at 27lbs 10oz. Logan's the tallest beating Brody by almost 2 inches. And little Seth isn't so little anymore! He's caught up dramatically! Only missing the boys in weight by a couple of pounds and in height by merely a inch and a half.

Yesterday was the boys 2nd birthday! I have tons of pics to sort through and download but will get them on here as soon as possible.
Also I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who sent the boys birthday wishes!

Sorry we haven't updated in awhile but there hasn't been any new things to write. The boys are doing great and on the weekends me and Adam have been working really hard around the house getting projects done before the colder weather breaks. Right now we're working on the basement, turning it into the boys future toy room.

We're finally in our big boy beds! And I'm so proud to say the boys have done awesome, their even sleeping better and later. They were so excited when they saw their new beds and started screaming and jumping up and down on them. :)

Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted, my computer decided it had a mind of it's own and wasn't downloading any of my pictures. Things have been crazy as ever around here. Boys are good and getting big. So big in fact that I ordered big boy beds for them. I'm nervous and anxiously waiting on their arrival. lol I decided it was time. Brody and Logan can climb out if they really want to and next month they'll be 2 so their plenty old enough for it. Earlier this week I took out of their room the glider, bookshelf and changing table. Then moved their dresser into the closet. I wanted it stripped down to nothing but beds, hoping it'll help. And I ordered new border and later this week I plan on painting to brighten everything up. When everything gets finished and their beds here I'll be sure to post pictures.

We had a wonderful 4th. Friday we met Papaw and Mamaw in Ellettsville to watch the fireworks which turns out the boys loved. Brody sat with headphones on and just stared and pointed, Seth giggled. The only problem was Logan. He wasn't scared no, he kept trying to run towards them! No fear I tell you, lol. He was so mad he had to stay with us and not take off after them.

Then Saturday morning me, Adam and the boys drove Pap's holler in the parade. They did okay at first but got bored towards the end. It was fun though. Sadly I forgot my camera. I know I know, I ALWAYS have my camera with me but the battery ran down Friday night and I forgot it on the charger Saturday morning. :( So the only picture I have from the parade is of Logan a local newpaper took. I love it though, such a good picture.

Later that day we ate at Paps and Memaw's with Mamaw Barrow. Got our bellies full and went home so the boys could take a good nap. They were so tired from two very busy days. Unfortunatly it poured most the day and night so we didn't get to see more fireworks. I was pretty bummed because the boys had loved them so much the night before. So since it was a nasty rainy night Pap and Memaw watched the boys so me and Adam could get away for a bit. We went and ate and he took me to see the new Transformer's movie I'd been wanting to see so bad. It was awesome!
Sunday we were lazy all day and loved it. We laid around watched movies and snacked, it was so nice to do absoulutly nothing.
We hope everyone else had a wonderful 4th.

Oh and I cannot forget this picture! As I ran into town to get takeout Adam left the room for a minute to come back to this~

What was he planning on doing next? I don't even want to know! BUT I think there's a very good chance he's got the idea from Travis Pastrana. Maybe we've been watching too much Nitro Circus. LOL

Yesterday we went to the zoo and had a wonderful time. I decided to buy us a yearly family pass so we can go back anytime we want, which I have a feeling will be quite often. :) We were able to go with Brandy and her boys. We had 6 kiddos and 2 adults, and were outnumbered in more ways than one! As we walked in Brandy said "no girls allowed", I couldn't help but laugh. Between the 2 of us we had 6 kids and no girls! LOL
We walked, looked and pointed with a few "wows" and "ohs" here and there. I had packed a cooler with our lunch and goodies which came in very handy. We also went to the dolphin show. It was a HOT day but a good one.

The new BIG news is the highchairs are gone! And were even using our big boy plates and gradually getting better with utensils. It's funny the boys are eating better, and more now that things are this way. I thought plates would be thrown and food would be wasted, not at all. We're even doing 2nds sometimes! :)

This weekend me and Adam had intentions of doing landscaping but yesterday was the only day it didn't rain so unfortunatly it looks like we have to wait until next week which I'm a little bummed about. Saturday is the Taste of Bloomington so we'll definitly be going to that. Last year we took the boys but this year will be even better since they can eat with us. And of course Sunday is Father's Day. So if I don't post again before then Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers out there! :)

Nothings really new with us. The boys are doing great and are loving this beautiful weather, mommy is too. Their starting to put words together now which has been very funny. Adam had to leave and go out of town this past weekend for work. Later that night Brody stared out the back window calling for him, then he says "dad, where is you?". It was so cute. It's funny they jibber jabber all the time but if you listen closey you'll catch little things here and there. They'll just be gabbing away and then all of a sudden Seth will look up and say "ilk!", (milk). And doggy's have become goggy's and even though Diesel is 6 yrs old he's a "puppy". Sometimes a horse or cow will hiss like a snake but we're working on it. :)

I have to share this with all of you because for one (it shouldn't have really) it shocked me and two it made Adam VERY proud. I had a toy that had to be returned, Logan was with me so I told him he could pick out whatever he wanted for a exchange. While I was hesitant at first, worried he was going to pull everything off of the shelf I let him go. He walked up and down 2 main aisles and just browsed for a little bit. Checked out a tractor (imagine that!) and put it away and kept looking. Then all of a sudden he just stops and lets out a little gasp and says "mama, wooooow!". What was it? A sport bike that did wheelies! Yep, out of all the toys he could've picked out that's what he wanted. lol

So here's a few random pics from over the past few weeks. Everything from hanging out on the back deck, to visiting Pap at the Station (and yes that's Logan lifting AND walking with washer fluid bottles!), to playing at Mamaw & Pap's in the sprinklers.

I figured I take time to update on the boys and tell of the adventures we've been through in the past few weeks. :) It's funny, before I decided to write this I remember a time when my updates consisted of "Seth said dada", "Logan loves riding his 4 wheeler" or "Brody's walking now". Well things have definitely changed and while my little boys will always be my babies it's safe to say we've hit toddler mode. The boys have gotten so active and it's so exciting to see them go to a playground and actually be able to climb stairs and walls to go down slides. Walking has turned into running full blast no matter where their going. And meals have gotten bigger and snacks have become more frequent. lol
So let's see, what have the boys been up to?
Well as many of you know from a previous post they've mastered crawling onto kitchen counters and you've already seen pictures of Brody in the kitchen sink. Well a couple of weeks ago I walk in to find him in the sink, water full blast and my hose pulled completely out waving it around like he was putting out a fire. While his brothers cheered him on below and played around like they were at water park!
Then one day Adam came home and told me he noticed their playroom window was slightly cracked open. Yep, open. They had crawled on top of their toy box, UNLOCKED the window and proceeded to try to raise it! (don't panic, it's ground level and taking care of now)
And lastly, I've always had trouble keeping clothes on Brody. He hates them and as soon as I put them on, he's stripping them off........including diaper too! One morning last week I walk in to find his diaper off. No biggie I thought, but as I turn around I see that all 3 of them found the "surprise" in his diaper and decided to use it to finger paint on my carpet and recliner. Thankfully Adam hadn't left for work yet or I probably would've crawled into the fetal position and cried. So we take them into the bathroom and have to literally hose them down before giving them a bath. So by 9:30 that morning the boys had had a bath and our family room carpet had been freshly shampooed. Now duct tape goes on WITH diapers. :)
All these things are happening so fast it's ridiculous. I go fold a load of laundry and come back to find Brody on top the island. Or I go to get dressed and find Logan scaling my hutch. Things have definitely changed around here and although some days I find huge surprises I can say without hesitating it's only gets better and better. The boys are really starting to talk and them being more mobile makes it so much fun to play with them and take them for walks or to the park.
Raising multiples is definitely a roller coaster ride full of ups and downs. But it's a ride I don't ever want to get off of. :)

Summer's almost here!

Just a few more weeks until it's officially summer, yay! We've took advantage of some beautiful days lately. Last week it was so nice outside I got water from inside the house, (knew the outside water would be too cold :) ) and put it in their pool. It wasn't even close to being as full as they would've liked it but they still had a blast splashing around. Then this weekend me and Adam got them a little picnic table for the back deck. Me and the boys had been eating lunch out there on pretty days so this will now give them a place to sit. They got so excited when I got it set up for them and love it.

For Kayleigh...

I started following Kayleigh's story just shortly after she was born. Some of you may have visited her site in the past. Kayleigh was born 3 months premature and weighed in at only one pound and one ounce. Sadly after a 11 month fight little Kayleigh lost her battle Monday. Her story will be on The Dr.'s show today, you don't want to miss it.

Weekend recap

It turned out to be a beautiful weekend so Saturday we got up and took off with Memaw to the Farmer's Market. I love going there and we went a lot last year. As the boys munched on a blueberry muffin (their favorite) it was so nice to walk around and see everything. They have the best flowers there. Then we went to Brandy's Graduation Party where the boys had a blast playing with all the other kids. They hadn't really had a nap so by the time we got home they were spent, well except for Logan. He went all day without a nap, unless you count 20 mins in the car. ;)
Then Sunday we went to the park and met up with my side of the family. The boys played, saw fish and swinged. We then took off to Mamaw & Papaw Harden's for a cookout. By 4:00 Seth could barely keep his eyes open. They had so much fun running around, eating, swinging, beating rocks and a few of Mamaw's plants with sticks (LOL) and even found a frog! I was a little scared, for the frog that is. They slept the whole way home.
It's so funny to see them getting older and now going some days without hardly any of a nap. When we get out like that their so afraid their going to miss something. :)
I had such a great Mother's Day. Playing with my boys and watching them run around and discover things is simply priceless. Even though I get a little sad seeing how big they've got, the times with them is only getting better.
I've been so blessed in my life. I have a loving family and three happy and most importantly healthy boys, what more could anybody want? :)

MOD Walk

Today was our March for Babies walk and even though they were calling for rain it turned out to be a beautiful day and a great turn out. In the end Team Harden Triplets raised $752.42 for premature babies. At the walk today we also drew the winners of the raffle baskets. But first I'd like to thank everyone who made this possible.

Need a kleenex mommy?

So after being on a phone call for a few minutes I walked in to see this~

That is Kleenex's, a brand new box I should add. How they got a hold of it I'm still trying to figure out because it was way out of their reach and on the opposite side of the gate. You guess it, somebody had to crawl over the gate on top of the counter top grabbed it, go back over the gate and show his brothers. Which proceeded to shred into a million pieces everywhere.
I walked in and was literally in shock. But as some of my fellow mommy's has pointed out thankfully it swept up good. I gotta look at the bright side, it wasn't stainable, sticky and it didn't ruin anything.
One word of advice, always think positive when you outnumbered. And not be afraid of the how's and what's to come. LOL :D

I still have a few days left before the walk but so far we have raised $702.42! Our goal was $500.00. I'm so pleased with how well everything has turned out this year, everyone was so generous with helping me out when it came to putting the raffle baskets and bake sale together. Thank you to all who donated as well, this is going to a cause that means a lot to our family.
This Sunday is the walk, it will be held at Bloomington South H.S. Registration starts at noon with the walk starting at 1:00. The winner of the raffle baskets will be drawn at the walk. I will post the winner on the boy's blog Monday morning. Tickets are still available so if anyone is interested in buying any just send me a email and I'll get in contact with you asap.

Bake Sale a success!

Saturday me and Brandy put together a bake sale and held it at our local store. It was a huge success and we were able to raise even more money in honor of the boys team for March of Dimes.
I'd like to thank Brandy for sticking it out with me that chilly morning, I couldn't have done it without her.
I'd like to thank Eric at Lakeside IGA for letting us have the sale there and taking such good care of us.
I'd also like to thank Amy, Ruthie, Christie, Mamaw & my mom for pitching in baked goods. It would have been so tough without you girls help.

Happy belated Easter!

I spent all day yesterday doing laundry and trying to get things back in order after such a busy weekend, that's why I'm just now getting this up. Saturday was spent at Papaw & Mamaw Harden's all day. The boys had a egg hunt, played outside, took little rides on the 4 wheeler and ate ate ate. They had a blast and went all day with no nap! But they were troopers and I was so proud of them. They were spent by the time we got home and was even in bed early.
Then Sunday morning we got up and went to church. When we got home I could tell they were still a little tired from the day before and so they took a little power nap before heading to Pap & Memaw Pritchard's. It was another long day! They had finally caught on what the egg hunt was all about and filled their buckets full. It was so pretty out and we all spent the entire day outside playing. They had so much fun playing with everyone. We got home later that night and the boys were still going 90mph. I think it had to do with the suckers and peeps!
I had so many pictures from the weekend I decided it was easier to just make a video. I've combined both days together.
Even though the boys and even me and Adam was exhausted by Sunday night, this was by far the funniest holiday we've had yet. Me and Adam both said it's just going to get better the older they get. :)

I left the room yesterday for literally 2 mins to walk back in and discover this!

Brody had flipped over their toy bucket, pushed it over to the countertop and used it as a boost. Notice my handy dandy gate that "used to" keep them contained? Also notice Logan on his way up too. And I know deep down this is only the beginning. haha

A day at the park

We were able to enjoy a few days of warm weather and took advantage of it by going to the park. The boys love being outside and had a blast. Memaw was able to join us and they kept her pretty busy by wanting to be pushed in the swings over and over. :)
Although the temperature has dropped today, the past few days were so enjoyable making me only wish summer would get here faster.

It's been awhile since I've posted, last week was pretty rough. Brody and Logan is cutting teeth again and we had days of non-stop crying and long nights of no sleep. But around late Thursday and Friday they began to get better so things around here are pretty much back to normal. So I don't have any new pictures or really anything new going on with the boys to tell, but later this week I'll be sure to post some pictures. Today we're going to try water coloring for the first time. I got the idea off of another triplet mom Mandie. They love their crayons so I really think their going to enjoy doing this.
Well it's finally March and that means Spring is only a few weeks away! YAY! No more stuck inside like hermits. haha Here we come parks, zoo, museum....I can't wait. Even though it continues to be a lot of work getting out with the boys it has gotten easier. Plus I'm anxious to get stuff around the house finished. We have bookshelves going into the study which I'm ecstatic about. Which means my huge boxes of books downstairs finally will be able to get unpacked and I'll finally get to decorate my study. And me and Adam have been talking about fencing in a section of the backyard for the boys too. Building the house was tons of work, especially with Adam contracting and doing a lot of it himself, but it has paid off big time in the end.

I just wanted to say congratulations to our friends Luke and Jennifer Bland for welcoming their son into the world Jett Ellison. Unfortunatly I haven't had the chance to meet the little guy yet. Adam got the chance yesterday and said he was adorable. I'm hoping this weekend I'll get to see him.
It looks like the boys will have yet another buddy to play with very soon. :)

Sadly another child has lost her battle to cancer. I came across Cora's site through Rachael (little bites), and felt it was very important to spread the word on this brave little angel. Family and friends have put together a Esty store in Cora's name. Money made through Cora's store will go towards a playground in her memory. Confessions of a multiple momma

I thought this would be a fun little twist to learn more about us. I'm always getting questions either out in public or through emails. And I love the emails so keep them coming :)
So here it is, my top 10 confessions...

1. I live in pj's, yes I shower so don't panic! ;)
But 75% of the time were home and I'm constantly chasing the monkeys around, cleaning and getting either strawberry milk, food or snot on me so I figure why bother.

2. Never did I ever think I would love sloppy kisses, but they are the best!
(from the boys that is, hehe)

3. Me and Adam lived on take-out and cereal the first year of the boys life and still probably eat way too much cereal.

4. Yes they do sleep through the night but it still feels like 6am comes way to soon.

5. No I don't watch Jon and Kate plus 8. I'll keep it short and somewhat sweet. LOL
I don't like the way she treats Jon and her extended family. And trust me she has help, lots of it. It's just conveintaly never in the camera's view.

6. Yes I like dressing the boys alike, I'm sure the day will come when they say "NO!" but until then I'm going to get away with it because it's so cute!

7. I (and I know Adam would agree) would love a day of no Disney channel. How bad is it? Me and Adam can sing to you word for word the Mickey Mouse "hot dog" song, Suite Life song and yes even Hannah Montana!
"you get the beeesssst of both worlds, oh sorry about that" ;)

8. I'm jealous of group photos. My fellow multi-mommys will agree it is our one goal, (that is rarely achieved) to get a GOOD group picture. It's come to one thing, if all three is in the shot then it's good regardless if their backs to you, eyes closed whatever it's good!

9. Some nights bedtime doesn't come fast enough, other times it comes too fast. One of my favorite times of the day is at night snuggled up on the couch with them watching a movie or tv. Maybe it's the sleepiness kicking in but it's the one time they slow down enough to let mommy cuddle.

10. After bathtime I look like I had just spent the day at the waterpark.

Wonderlab

We decided to take advantage of another warm day and get out of the house. Me and the boys met Shawna, Wyatt and Garrett at the Wonderlab. Shawna and her boys had been there before but it was our first time. I had been wanting to go but was just waiting until the boys were walking and a little older. They had a blast with playing and seeing everything. Seth thought the huge Roaches were cool, go figure that's a boy for you. Brody loved the ball maze and fish. And no surprise Logan was ecstatic they had snakes there. But ALL the boys loved the water area. There was smocks for kids to wear but our busy bodies was all over the place until finally we gave up and just let them go crazy. Thankfully me and Shawna always have a extra set of clothes. LOL We'll definitely be back and it made me even more ready for spring to be here so we can go up to Indy to the Museum and back to the Zoo.

Monday Pap Pritchard had surgery on his shoulder (which turned out good, he just has to take it easy until it heals) so Sunday we decided to let them come over and watch the boys before he got laid up and wouldn't be able to wrestle and play with them for awhile. So me and Adam took off and had a day to ourselves. We did a little shopping, went out to eat, went to a tool sale at the fairgrounds (not my idea, lol), and went to see the movie Push. Push was good although I recommend waiting for the DVD. lol Me and Adam love those type of movies so I was really looking foward to seeing it. Plus me and him hadn't been to a movie in a really long time. We also stopped by Adam's friends new tattoo shop. Joe "p-nut" Nugent just opened a new shop on the west side of town and we stopped by to talk to him about my new tattoo he's going to do. I'm really excited about it and without giving to much away it's a tribute to the boys. When it's done I'll be sure to post pictures.

Saturday we went to the Heffernan boy's first birthday party. It was held at Bouncer Town in Greenwood. We all had a great time and once I get the pictures downloaded I'll be sure to post them.

I know I haven't posted in a week but when your cooped up basically 24/7 there's not a whole lot to say. :) A lot of the snow has melted but the boys continue to remain home because it's cold, really cold. This morning when I got up it was -5. Brrrrr!
And with colds and bugs going around all the time it gives me another reason to stay indoors. Here's just a few random pictures, we hope everyone is doing great.

I love this picture, he looks so cozy! Seth's been sleeping a lot lately and has definitely hit a growth spurt. I'm looking forward to next months 18month well baby check to see how much weight he has gained.

This is what our house looks like every morning from 7-7:30. All 3 of them in front of the tv watching Sid the Science Kid. They love Sid and rarely miss his show.

I figured up just out of curiosity how many gallons we went through a week and came up with almost 5. (And that's not counting me and Adam's milk!) So I think we're going to invest in some chickens, a banana tree and a couple of cows to save a little moo-lah. :D

Poor Seth this is the face mommas had to look at for the past 2 days. He's been cranky and clingy. I'm almost positive he's cutting more teeth.

SNOW!

It's been snowing here quit a bit. Just for fun me and Brody got Adam's truck out yesterday and ran a few errands. Last night another front hit us and as of 6 o'clock this morning we had 9 inches. It's 9:00 now and there's no sign of it stopping anytime soon. For those of you who isn't familiar with where we live it's in a little housing addition with 6 houses. Each house sits on around 3 acres. We're not considered a public drive so when it snows it's up to us to shovel it. Adam got out this morning on the tractor and took care of it hopefully making it easier for our neighbors to leave.
The boys love the snow, and stare out the back windows in awe. It is pretty but not my preferred weather. LOL My kind of weather is either spring or fall. Not to hot and not too cold. ;) So it looks like we're stuck here because there's no way the van can get out in this right now. If I do venture out anytime soon I'll be stealing Adam's truck. The boys love "dadda's" truck but there's only room for one car seat so we rotate turns.

As Logan would say "wooooow" that's a lot of hair! .
Adam gave the boys a haircut yesterday. It was very overdue. And as much as I love the messy shaggy look, this is just simpler. Between food, slobbers, hair pulling and I could go on and on this will be just be easier. Although I had originally wanted the top longer I love how it turned out. Besides their hair grows fairly fast and they'll be due for another trim in no time. So here's a few after pictures. Sorry there a little dark, and they wouldn't sit still. Imagine that!

For Christmas the boys got a guitar, and Logan's especially fond of it. Late last week out of the blue he started playing with it and patting his foot like he was keeping a beat. I had to share it with everyone, it's one of the cutest and funniest things this kid has done yet.

Remember back when I said the boys got tons of toys for Christmas and that our house was going to look like a Toys R Us?

Introducing the Jelly Bean Jumper. A life saver to a mother who has cooped up kids that have tons of energy to burn. Yes I had to move around the kitchen table and no it probably wouldn't pass HGTV material but the boys are stoked and having a blast with it.

I know it's been so long since I've posted last but to be honest nothings really new here and there hasn't been a whole lot to say. :) The temps have really dropped, it seems like it's either raining or snowing, and I hear of so many people being sick so we basically have stayed put. Our 3 little bears are literally hibernating this winter. I still get out from time to time, running errands and stuff so Adam just stays home with them so I'm not getting them out in the cold. Last I checked today the tempature was 2!

Mommy's day...

It's been a few days since I've had the chance to get on here. With the busy holidays things have been pretty crazy around here. Even though we had a great Christmas and I do enjoy the time of year it'll be nice to slow things down and get back to normal.
Earlier this week Adam gave me a mommy day.
First I went to Hobby Lobby and looked at beads and charms. I love that store, they have some of the neatest stuff. My aunt Beth makes jewelery and does a amazing job. She's going to be making me a couple of bracelets which I'm excited about. Then I went to Spaah and got a massage. Although I had a little trouble relaxing in the beginning (LOL) it was awesome! Then I went to the theater and saw Twilight. Yes again. ;)
I had a blast and enjoyed it so much.
We didn't do anything for New Years Eve, just stayed home. I was intent on seeing the ball drop but fell asleep. Adam woke me up though just in time to see it although I was back asleep in no time at all. It's hard to believe when I sit and think about it how just a few years ago me and Adam could stay up forever and it not even faze us. We'd take off on the bikes as late as 10:00 and meet up with friends and not think twice about pulling into the driveway at 2am. My how things change. LOL
The boys are doing great. Seth's cutting teeth pretty bad and hasn't felt like eating much for the past couple of days. But he's tough guy and as long as he's got Dino he's okay. :) Brody's cutting some teeth too but not as bad as Seth so his is more tolerble. I think right now Seth has 3 coming in at once. Poor little guy. Logan's doing great too, acting like a silly clown as usual. This kid cracks me and Adam up. He's the happiest, silliest acting boy I've ever seen. The other day at my parents he was eating apples and I asked him if he wanted more and he said "apple". We all looked at each other in shock and just started laughing.
Well we hope everyone had a great New Year's. Wonder what 09 has instore for us? ;)

Christmas Recap...

We had a wonderful Christmas Day. We were able to stay home and that was so enjoyable. Santa got the boys a Step 2 Playhouse and a Craftsman's work bench which was a huge hit. The rest of the family got them the coolest toys. Those boys playroom is like a Toys R Us now! Aunt Beth got them 3 little rocket motorcycles that she had lettered with their first name on the front and Harden 1 2 & 3 across the the back in their order of birth. And Pap and Memaw got them a Jelly Bean Jumper (when we get it put together I'll post pics) and Kawasaki outfits, which I might add was mommy's favorite. lol My next goal is to get a picture of them in their racing outfits on their 4-wheelers. Well see how long that takes me. hehe
Later that night Pap and Memaw came out to bring them their gifts and we ate and watched Horton Hears a Who. The boys were wore out over the crazy weekend and slept in most of the weekend. This morning was the first time they got up at their normal 6:30 time. Here's a ton of pictures from Christmas Day.

Here's a video from Christmas Eve. We went to Mamaw and Papaw Pritchard's then over to Mamaw and Papaw Harden's. The boys had so much fun, got tons of goodies and once again were exhausted and asleep by the time I pulled into the driveway. Thank you to everyone for all their awesome toys.
I'm working on another video of Christmas Day. There's tons of pictures to go through but once I get it finished I'll post it on here. We had a wonderful Christmas and we hope your families did too.

Yesterday we had the Barrow family Christmas at Ernie and Shirley's. It's always so much fun getting everyone together. The boys had a blast playing and were exhausted by the time we got home. Brody went straight to bed and ended up taking a little power nap before dinner. They didn't even wake up until close to 8 this morning and I don't remember that ever happening. Mommy definitely enjoyed it. LOL Here's a little video I put together of pictures that was taken through out the day. We had such a good time with everyone, we love you all and hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

I'm going to delete my music off to the side until the holidays are over because I'll have more videos coming. And that way it doesn't interfere with the videos as their playing.

A boy's best friend, meet Logan's new pal.

His new snake is always by his side whether it's playing, eating or even sleeping. Yes sleeping! He loves his new buddy. Mommy's just wondering how long I've got until he's asking me for a real one. There's two of them now, we had 3 but Diesel ate half of one and I had to put the little guy out of his misery. I've actually gotten pretty use to seeing snakes laying around the house late at night, the first couple of nights I had to look twice! LOL

Every now and then I try to do a little update of how the boys are doing. First off the colds are better, still lingering but better so mommy is VERY happy about that. With Logan his new thing is playing a ghost. He loves putting blankets over himself and walking around making funny noises. It's so cute and I've learned that crochet blankets definitely work the best. He took off running last week and couldn't even see where he was going! I caught him though before the table did thankfully. LOL He loves watching the Crocodile Hunter now and his new favorite toy is rubber snakes. So Adams been calling him the snake charmer. Seth's feeling tons better and back to his silly self making faces and running around. Yep running around, they are getting so fast! He loves to wrestle and will try to with the other boys. Dino's still his only love and that dinosaur rarely isn't by his side. He's really grown too. Besides height differences he has really caught up to Logan. Brody doing great too, still loveable bear. He'll run up to you and give you a huge hug and kiss. And although the other boys jabber plenty, Brody's been doing awesome with talking. His favorites are Hidy, kinda like a hi and howdy mix. LOL And dank du, (thank you). He says dank du whenever he gets a cookie or toy. I'm just hoping the manners stick! ;) Plus this past weekend (thanks to Mamaw Harden) he now blows kisses! It's so stinking cute. And then there's Diesel dog, they pester and play with that dog til I think sometimes he's ready for their bed time. Diesel has been so good with the boys and they've all gotten really close. They just run and play tug of war with him and I'm so glad he's done so great with the boys. He'll just be sitting there and one of them will walk up and throw their arms around him and give him a hug.
We've have also hit the snack all the time stage. I swear they are always hungry! Whether it's a cookie, banana, cheese or strawberry milk they love to eat. ;) They still love Sid the Science Kid, Mickey, and Handy Manny. And they love to be chased whether by me, Adam or even Diesel. I was thinking about Christmas yesterday and how fun it's going to be this year. I'm so excited to see their faces Christmas morning.
It has gotten easier. Their all walking (and running), feeding themselves and although they've still got us going in circles I feel like we've crossed a huge hurdle.
These boys are truly a blast!

Yep you probably guessed it, Logan's sick. He woke up last night around 10:30 with the routine nasty cough and runny yet stuffy nose and ended up in bed with us for the rest of the night. He snuggled up to us all night long, it was so sweet. This morning Adam said every time he tried to move him over a little he would roll on his side and wiggle his butt until he was back up against him. Although I hate seeing them sick, I guess overall it could be worse their definitely not as bad as Seth. It's obviously just a cold and even though their feeling icky their up this morning playing. We have two Christmas get together's this weekend so I'm really hoping they can get over the worst part of it before then.
Well we hope everyone had a great weekend. I can't believe Christmas is only a week and a half away, it just doesn't seem possible. Today I have to start wrapping presents. I keep putting it off because I'm so bad at it. I know, I know how hard is it to wrap a gift right? LOL

Today I had all intentions of taking the boys to see Santa. You see last time we were suppose to go Seth got sick so I gave him a week and waited until he was all better. Everything was fine and we had planned on leaving after lunch. They played this morning and I gave them baths and put them down for their nap at 10. At 12 Brody woke up with a awful sounding cough that was deep in his chest. He literally went to bed fine and woke up sick! The weirdest part of it all is that it's completely different from what Seth had. The boys have been out once since Thanksgiving and I can't figure out for the life of me how their getting sick. I would be very understanding if his symptoms were similar to Seth's but their not. So we've done a couple of breathing treatments today which has helped tons and tonight before he goes to bed I'm going to give him another breathing treatment with steriods. So I guess it would've been too good to be true had the other two not got sick as well. Next up....Logan. But hopefully Seth won't catch this bug too.

Remembering 3 Angels...

I wanted to take time to mention three precious angels.
After such a tough and brave fight, Raiden Landon, Ryker London and Gwyneth Bella lost their fight and passed on over the course of a little more than a month.
This past Saturday they were laid to rest together.
Their family needs as many thoughts and prayers sent their way as possible.
I pray God gives their parents Logan and Cathi the strength to get through this sad turn of events.
One thing is for certain, they will forever have 3 precious angels looking down on them.

Well I just thought I'd give a little update on Seth.
At Fridays Dr. appt they couldn't determine whether it was RSV or Pneumonia. So after a breathing treatment at the Dr.'s office Adam took him to the hospital for a chest xray. Turns out it's Pneumonia. He was sent home with 2 prescriptions and 2 breathing treatments.
However later that night his temperature shot up to 103.8 and his heart started to race and his little body was shaking all over. So Adam took him into the hospital where he was admitted. After some antibiotics and a iv to get some fluids down him he was sent home late last night.
We still have breathing treatments every 4 hours to keep up on for now but he's really improved. He's started to eat again and he'll even play a little bit with the other boys. He goes back in for a update tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone who's called and checked in on him. Looks like it's only uphill from here. :)

Momma's lil' animal is sick

Seth's under the weather. :( It started a couple of nights ago right before bed he started coughing. Later that night he woke up and sounded awful and ended up in our bed tossing and turning all night long. Then yesterday when he woke up he seemed to be doing better but just wanted to sleep all day. Earlier this morning he ended up in our bed again with a 102.6 temperature. So I made a appointment for later today and hopefully we can get him something to get over this faster. He's been in bed almost all morning. He finally got up a little before 7 but was asleep in Adam's arms by 8, then after breakfast it was no time and he started to fall asleep on the kitchen floor with a blanket so I carried him to bed where he's been ever since. Hopefully it won't get any worse and doesn't last long and my fingers are crossed the other boys don't get it.

Sunday we went to the boys cousin Zach's 1st Birthday party. They had so much fun playing with all the other kids and were so tired by the time we got home. I laid them down for a little nap before dinner and they didn't even want to get up when it was time to eat. Then they slept in til past 7 the next morning which never happens anymore. So I've never went shopping the day after Thanksgiving, I've always wanted to see what all the hype was about but never went. I wanted to go bad last year but the boys hadn't been home long and I was desperate to get any amount of sleep I could and getting up at 4 was not in my schedule. ;) But this year I decided to go and I'm so glad I did. My cousin Amy and my cousin's wife Brandy picked me up at 3:15 and we took off. We headed to Kohl's because they opened at 4. We pulled in at 3:30and OH MY GOD! I've never seen anything like that before, and last time I waited out in the cold was to get into a concert not a store. haha After that we headed to Walmart, Target and the mall. I saved quit a bit but in the end decided it was purely for the entertainment. We had so much fun and I'll definitly be going next year. I got back a little after 10 which was perfect because the boys had just went down for their nap, so I laid down until it was lunch time and it allowed me to rest a little. In the end I got 75% of my shopping done, saved big and laughed all day at the crazy people fighting for the sales and perfect gift.

So after my last post I left Friday and went to the bookstore and bought Twilight. I just finished it today and wanted to say it was one of the best books I've read in a long time. I couldn't put it down and highly recommend it. Not giving too much away it reminded of another Romeo and Juliet story, and I truly think you don't have to enjoy reading about vampires to get hooked. I completely see what all the hype is about. So if you haven't read it........do. I went into town tonight already and bought the 2nd one, New Moon.
Hopefully early this week I'll be able to go see the movie although I'm going to keep my expectations low just so I don't get disappointed. ;) I think in my opinion the book itself is going to be hard to beat.
Oh and by my comment no one can replace Lestat?

Um....well I take that back. LOL

Twilight...

Vampires, I love reading about them and especially watching movies about them. I have watched Queen of the Damned countless times and read almost all of Anne Rice's books, among other books. But since I've had the boys unfortunately I haven't been able to read like I use to. I've heard of the Twilight series and noticed the movie coming out but really took notice when some of my fellow triplet moms urged me to read it. Saying they were addictive and once you started them they were hard to put down. So I'm going to jump on board and see what the fuss is all about. I'm going to go into town today and get Twilight and read it this weekend. Well see how hard I fall for yet another vampire. ;)
Although I doubt he can replace Lestat, but well see. LOL

Jack's Toy Drive

Every year around this time it gets crazy in the stores with people shopping and trying despertly to find the perfect gift. But not everyone gets to be home for the holidays. Every year there's numerous kids too sick to be able to spend their holidays at home and that plus this amazing family is why I wanted to tell you about Little Jack. Jack and his sister's were born just 11 days after our boys on October 11, 2007. Sadly though Jack never made it home with his sisters and passed away January 2, 2008. A toy drive is being done in Jack's honor to help out all the kids in New Jersey Childrens Hospital that won't be able to be home for the holidays.

Tis the season...

Tis the season to decorate and get ready for that time of year. Ahhh the Holidays.
Like I mentioned before we were so excited to get the tree and everything out because we haven't had one in 2 years. Well needless to say we've been working on everything for 3 days. You may be thinking "wow, that's a lot of stuff!". Actually in those 3 days I've got zero, zip, nada completed! My tree won't light in a certain section, my wreaths not working, I can't find a certain box of xmas stuff that has obviously been misplaced between 2 moves. Sooooo it came down to me humming a little song. "Oh Christmas tree OH CHRISTMAS TREE, IF YOU DON'T START TO WORK I'M GOING TO THROW YOU OFF THE BACK DECK!"
So after I launched the wreath off my 2 story foyer I decided I had to walk away, and count to 10.....maybe a hundred. Then it got me thinking of one of my favorite movies this time of year, Christmas Vacation. I just had to laugh, I mean I was so looking foward to this and now it's making me loose my mind! So it's time to get back to work and here's a little hump day treat for everyone.

The boys are still pretty young but we decided that Christmas mornings will be spent opening presents and me making a huge breakfast. It's one thing I'll always remember when I was younger. I want to make something special and know when the boys get older they can look forward to this every year and I have already been digging in my cook books to come up with something I don't usually make on our average mornings. :)
We do want more, but me and Adam agree we should wait until the boys are a little older. I'm leaning towards 3. I like being able to get out on my own and we have our hands plenty full at the time. I think for us personally it would be the perfect time to wait until the boys are a little older and more independent. Of course we'd love to have a girl and adoption has even crossed our minds in the future. But we both agreed that if we ever do decide to adopt it would for one, be a girl and two she would be at least 2 yrs old.

My favorite holiday has always been Thanksgiving. I enjoy the family time and food and yet it's doesn't get masked by presents and chaos that can come with Christmas. I LOVE to cook, and it gives me the chance to do it and take the food somewhere else so it's not sitting around here for us to eat. haha I do know though that now the boys are here I'm going to enjoy Christmas so much more. The looks on there faces, believing in Santa and memories will be so enjoyable.

Yes, like I told Jen I would like to have another one when the boys get a little older and depending on the future I would also like to look into adoption. I would want the boys old enough to understand our reasoning's behind it and no not to get a girl in the family. :) We always thought it would be so great to give some child a new start at life. But who knows what the future holds. I use to think all anyone had to do is plan their life. Yeah right, lol. I heard something a few years ago and it has stuck since simply because I can relate to it so well. "You want to hear God laugh? Tell him your plans." :)

What is Santa getting the Boys for Christmas?

Well we decided that since their still pretty young and while we can get away with it we're going to get a couple of big things instead of a bunch of little toys to open, besides they don't know the difference at this age. ;) The boys will be opening presents at 4 other Christmas's and will be getting lots of goodies I'm sure and have plenty of chances to open presents. So instead we've decided to buy a Step 2 Playhouse and Craftsman tool bench from my cousin and we're going to purchase a Step 2 picnic table. We'll also get each boy one gift to open Christmas morning but the other toys will be their main gifts.

How much alone time do you have per day. This is time where you are off duty and can do what ever you want. Grocery shopping does not count as alone time.

Well my first thought was 10, that's when the boys take their 2hr nap. But then I thought that time mainly consist of cleaning, laundry and getting stuff done that's hard to do when their up. So I don't know if that counts for alone time. LOL
I would say 8 at night, after they go to bed. That's me and Adam's time to wind down, talk and just watch tv. I honestly don't get any "alone" time. haha Every now and then Adam will watch the boys and I'll take off and go to Barnes and Noble or just take a drive but I haven't done that in a few weeks. It's just hard to get away, there's always stuff that needs to be done around here. I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. ;)

What was the first thought that came into your mind when the Dr said "Triplets"
Confused and Shocked to say the least.

We found out Valentines Day we were pregnant and 2 wks later was our first ultrasound, that's when they saw 3. We had been trying for 3 years on our own to get pregnant and ended up seeing a Dr. who first diagnosed me with Endometriosis then gave me a low dose of hormones to take. When he said he saw 3 heartbeats I was at a lost for words and couldn't believe it. Adam just started laughing (I'll never forget it), he had seen the monitor and the 3 sacks before I did, he knew right away. The Dr. just kept apologizing and was shocked that it had happened too. You see I only took a low dose of hormones, that's it. Plus I had over half of my medicine left that I never got to take when we found out the test was positive. The Dr. finally came to the conclusion that a combination of twins running in the family and the hormones were a result of the boys. My mom has twins on her side, my grandma (dad's mom) is a twin and Adam's cousin has twin girls one month younger than the boys. From day one they always said Brody and Logan was going to be identical. Anyone who looks at them now knows their the farthest thing from it, which means the Dr. said that they spilt pretty much immediately and in the end was fraternal.
I guess in the end my body just needed a little boost. ;)

I guess I'm pretty laid back when it comes to them sharing germs. I mean, they suck eachothers thumbs and feet and whatever else they can get to... So, I've made my confessions - How do you handle them sharing germs? Are you fighting against it the whole time or have you, like me, given in?

In the beginning I was very cautious. The boys were 2 months premature, Seth was on Oxygen therapy and they came home just at the start of RSV season. So I didn't let them share and I washed my hands like crazy and took stock in Lysol. LOL
But now their older and while I still wash my hands a lot and still buy my Lysol at Sam's Club I'm not nearly as strict about it. When you get to a point of them self-feeding themselves I have no idea how one would keep 3 sippies straight. haha
Besides for some reason Brody feels the need to take a drink from every cup. Maybe he thinks one of the others has chocolate milk in it. ;)

BTW~ I make all my headers using Scrapblog.com, Rachael introduced it to me.

Well I had fun answer some questions. Tonight we're going to the Candlelight Ceremony for March for Babies. I hope it's a good turn out and I'll be sure to take some pictures. And I know every one's been wanting to see Seth walk so I'll try and get that on here as well.

What's my daily savior?

So many people have ask me this. What helps you get through your day?
A Nanny? Umm No
A Maid? Yeah right. Sure would be nice though. (Isn't Christmas coming up? ;) )
Actually it's the boys playroom. I'm so thankful to have a area they can go in and be safe. No chairs or tables to climb. Less things for them to get hurt on. And no TV. You see I use to be able to turn it off but since then they've learned where the power and volume button is it doesn't work too well anymore. I got them their very own super cool Cookie Monster Remote thinking they'd leave it alone and they want nothing to do with it. They know it's fake and they always want the real thing. The playroom allows me to actually get some stuff done through the day. We're if their in the living room and I leave for a minute this is what happens...

Was I shocked, nope. It's been going on for a few weeks now with no end in sight and a gut feeling it's only going to get worse. LOL

What else have I learned being a parent?
If your not in the room and you hear....
Chit chat everythings good and everyone is happy. At least at the moment.
A small cry means someone probably pulled someone's hair or a toy got stolen. Still nothing to hit panic mode over. :)
A loud cry means pain and I think somebody feels pain in this house everyday. Since the boys are walking (and did I mention wrestling? LOL ) it seems like somebody always has a bump or bruise and I see a little blood at least once a week.
And if it's dead silent and peaceful don't enjoy the moment too much because 99% of the time somethings about to seriously go wrong. Or if your too late it already has. ;)

By the way Brody's new trick is answering the phone. Yep you heard it right. I was in the kitchen the boys were playing in the living room and Adam was in the office. I heard the phone ring once and that was it. I thought Adam got it, while he thought I answered it. Turns out Brody did and for a little over a minute had been "talking" to Memaw.
Now why couldn't he have answered it when a telemarketer had called? hehe ;)

Rain Rain Go Away!

This is what my 3 little bears have done all week, look out the window and wonder (like me) when the rain is going to stop.

It has rained and been yucky out all week, and last I heard their calling for flurries this weekend. UGH! I like snow, I think it's pretty and it really gets me in the mood for the holidays and I love decorating. Especially this year. We haven't been able to have a Christmas tree for 2 years. The first year we were in the middle of selling our house and then last year the boys hadn't been home for long, we were in a rental and honestly the last thing I had felt like doing was putting a tree up. So this year I'm looking foward to it.
BUT as soon as New Years is over I want my Sun and 75. LOL
Here's some pictures I've taken over the week. And yes the boys are in pj's. I figure what's the point in getting them dressed up if we're not going anywhere. ;) Besides this way their comfy.

In total I had around 44 votes for the boys bedroom! Thank you so much everyone for your opinions and votes. It really helped me make my decision. It was a tie, between the Dinosaurs & Pirates. So over the past week I've been hunting on the Internet for bedding, curtains and such to match whoever the winner was. So after your votes and after finding what will give me the biggest selection of items to do their rooms I've decided to go with Dinosaurs. The only difference will be that the border I've decided to go with is going to be a little brighter. I was really wanting to paint the boys room a brighter color and with the other border I would've had to stay green for it to look good. I found some Dinosaur border that has matching curtains and other items online. With the other "dino" border I had LOTS of trouble finding other things to match. In the beginning to be honest Pirates and Dinosaurs was my two favorites. I think it's so cool that in the end that's what everyone else liked as well. I was very close to going with pirates but saw this late last week and loved it. Every thing's coming from online, and we have to paint so it's going to take time but once it gets finished I will definitely post pictures. Here's what I decided to go with~

I know their still in their cribs so some stuff I won't be able to use but I just fell in love with it.

Pizza Party!

Adam left early Friday to go down to Tennessee for work this weekend, so I decided to do something fun with the boys. They've never tried pizza before but they love ravioli and spaghetti. I made us a homemade mushroom pizza and they absolutely loved it. Afterwards it was definitly bath time so I got them cleaned up and put their pj's on and we watched The Land Before Time. You can tell how crazy they got with the pizza by the bath pictures. I thought they looked like baby oompa loompa's! And yes that's duct tape on Brody's diaper. I finally had to break it out the other night. :)

Table, steps, voting and a side of yummy!

This is what the past 24 hrs of our house has involved. Yesterday as I was fixing dinner the boys were playing in the living room, as I turned around I looked up and saw Seth on top of the kitchen table trying to open a box of cookies! I about had a heart attack and yelped SETH! Which he in turned decided to get up on his knees and proceed to jump up and down and start laughing. I was in shock, I had literally turned my back for a second. So after I got him down he crawled over to one of the chairs, climb up then onto the table again. Oh Boy!
Then later that night as I was cleaning Brody up from dinner he smacked his lips and looked up at me and said "Yummy!". It was the cutest thing. Their really picking up on what me and Adam say and have started to mock us a little.
After dinner we were playing in the living room when Seth stood up (with the help of the couch) and ventured out on his own for the first time! Yep, he walked, Go SETH. It's wobbly and includes lots of crashes but he can take a good 5 to 6 steps. I'll be sure to get a video on here later this week.
Earlier this morning I took off while Adam watched the boys and went to vote. I guess third times a charm because that's what it took. Me and Adam went Sunday to vote early and the line was 3 blocks long. There was no way we could wait in a line like that with the boys. So I tried again yesterday. I got there just before the doors opened and although the line was shorter than Sunday it was still over 2 blocks long. I tried to be patient and wait but moved less than 6 feet in over 30 minutes! Adam had to get to work so I left. Today fingers crossed I went and thankfully walked right in and voted! Yay :)

Daylight savings!

UGH! Need I say more. Ok I understand the reasoning's behind it but to a mom who from day one has been on a strict schedule it turns your world into the twilight zone. Last year wasn't a biggie, the boys were too young to even notice. This time, they noticed. LOL I knew it was changing this past weekend but forgot to change the clocks and when I woke up to the boys the clock said 6:15. Average wake up time I thought....nope. Once I was finally alert I realized it was 5:15! GREAT, oh well just deal with the rest of the day and put them to bed at 8. They get to stay up a extra hour and by the next day their adjusted. I should've known it wasn't going to go that easy. By 6:30 they were getting pretty sleepy, by 7 cranky, 15 minutes later the world came crashing down and we had to put them to bed. I had hoped they'd sleep in but that didn't happen either. So for some reason for the past 2 nights Seth's decided to have parties in his crib from 2-4. Sometimes he plays with Dino, sometimes he babbles, but sometimes (last night for instance) he screams at the top of his lungs and shakes his crib rails back and forth. So I guess Seth thinks if he doesn't want to sleep, nobody else gets to. He woke the entire house up last night, it sounded like mayhem from 3 to a little after 4. Then as if nothing happened they woke up at 5:30 ready for the new day. So wish us luck, tonight I'm going to give it another shot and hopefully they'll stay up longer.

Trick or Treat!

We decided to go trick or treating Wednesday and Thursday so we would be home for treaters Friday. Friday we had intentions of going to the mall so we could have their pictures taken but runny noses, sleepy babies and a hurt mommy kept us from going. Early Friday the little hellions was running around and kept getting into my hutch, a place they just now were able to get into. So as I was trying to round them up and pretending to chase them (they get the biggest kick out of that) I ran into a one of the kitchen chairs. It literally brought me to my knees. I felt my toe pop and immediately got nauseated. By that night my toes was completely black with a huge knot. I don't know if I broke it or stumped it. After looking at it Saturday morning Adam wanted me to get it looked at but I thought that would've been a waste of money. I'd go in and they'd say "yep it's broken, here's some pain pills take it easy". I mean there's not much you can do for a broken toe and the pills wouldn't have done me no good. Those crazy things make me sleepy and loopy, try taking care of the boys while on that. Yeah right, no thanks I'll deal with it. LOL
I finally got a tennis shoe on today and after a hour later it was killing me. Oh well looks like it's going to be in the 70's tomorrow. Perfect for flip flops!

The boys went trick or treating Wednesday and last night. Oh boy talk about a workout! LOL Unload, load, unload, load and repeat. The boys were exhausted by 7:30 and ready for bed. Later today we're going to the mall to have their picture taken but will be back home in time for any spooky guests that want to visit. I'll be sure to post pictures this weekend.

Weekly Recap

Well our weekend went good, chilly but good. You can definitely tell winter's on it's way. Sunday morning Adam wanted to go out to breakfast. It was cold and time for mommy to break out some of the boys winter clothes they hadn't even wore yet. But it was yummy and mommy even liked the little break of not cooking. The boys gobbled up their banana waffles, then me and Adam decided that as many frozen waffles we're going through it's time to invest in a waffle maker. Yep, I think from now on our Bisquick will be purchased at Sam's. LOL
The boys are doing great and sleeping a lot better. We've still had a couple rough nights but nothing like last week. Yesterday Logan took a bad tumble. He was walking into the kitchen when he tripped on his pj's and went face forward into one of the 4 wheelers. A little blood, lots of tears, some ibuprofen and a day later he's good as new. Minus the scratch under his nose.
They have a new obsession, Sid the Science Kid! From 7-7:30 every morning it's all about Sid and those 3 little faces are glued to the tv. I'm wanting to get them a Sid toy for Christmas but have a feeling finding one may be hard to do. He's a new cartoon and I don't think the Sid fever has quite spread yet. If anyone comes across anything of Sid please send me a email and let me know. I've looked everywhere and I can't find anything.

Logan's walking everywhere now. Yay! He was really wobbly early last week and still crawling at times but now he's all over the place. Seth took a couple of steps this weekend so it's only a matter of time before Red takes off too.
As far as a toofer update. Logan's got two more that's poked through. Brody's two uppers are finally starting to show and Seth still has his 2 little cute Rabbit teeth on the bottom. The teeth have really bothered the boys lately, Brody's gum was even bleeding today and his appetite has really slacked off. So our savors have been orajel and ice cold wash cloths to chew on.
Yesterday the Schwann man stopped by and as he was leaving Brody yelled "Bye!". It was the cutest thing. And a couple of days ago as I asked Seth to stop doing something he piped back "No!" and then started to laugh (oh boy here it starts). So I guess you could say our words have improved, lol. We're anxious for everyone to see the boys costumes this year. I'll be sure to post pictures this weekend. To make it easier on the boys we're going to stop by a few places Wednesday and a few Thursday. I wanted to stay home Friday night in hopes of catching some trick or treaters. Hint to anyone local ;)
And lastly I've decided to change the boys border in their room. I want to brighten it up a little. I'm looking into borders and small murals but still undecided on which one to go with. Adam wants to do it in motorcycles, surprise surprise! LOL I've found a few ideas I really like so I thought about starting a poll for everyone to vote. Or I'm up for any ideas too. I'm just ready for the neutral look to be livened up. The boys room was adorable in the beginning but then as they got older things had to be taken off of their crib little by little to were now it's looking pretty plain.

Candlelight Ceremony...

Bloomington is preparing for their annual Candlelight Ceremony to honor and memorialize all babies born premature. It will be held Tuesday November 18th at the Bloomington Hospital Chapel at 6:00. If you or someone you know had a premature baby and would like their name to be put on the roll call list and have a candle lit in their honor please contact me at hardenboys@yahoo.com
Just email the childs name, date of birth and if the child has passed that date as well. I will foward it to the Division Director of March for Babies. If you have any questions please let me know.

Well we've had much better rest for the past couple nights. It's amazing how much better someone feels and most important how much more motivated you feel after a good nights sleep. LOL We did get out for a little bit yesterday, we hadn't been anywhere since Saturday and I knew today and possibly the whole weekend was going to be cold and rainy. Plus Adam was working in Knoxville so we went and ate at Pap & Memaw's. Thanks for dinner last night it was yummy! Well we hope everyone has a great weekend, if it continues to rain and only be in the 50's I think we'll lay low. YUCK! Might as well get use to it though, I think our pretty and warm days are going to be fewer and farther between.

Well today got better, thankfully. When the boys took their nap I laid down as well to catch up on some z's. I think by the time I was able to lay down and actually fall asleep I got another hour and half in. It did help though. I use to run on 2-3 hours of sleep when the boys first came home, your body adjust. But after they've slept through the night for so long it spoils you and makes it twice as hard the second time around. So I put some ham and beans in the crock pot this morning(because it's easy LOL) and made some corn muffins and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I figure with a day like we had what's better than some comfort food, right? And tonight mommy's favorite show is on (Ghost Hunters). So I'll take a quick shower and eat some cookies and hunt for ghosts, lol. Then it's off to bed and fingers crossed everyone will stay in their own bed tonight. :0)

We’re writing regarding a very important matter: RSV. For those of you who
plan to visit us over the next few months, and even if you are not, please take
a few minutes to read this letter.

If you are not aware of RSV, respiratory syncytial virus, you are among the majority. Most people have not heard of RSV, even though nearly every child has had the virus by age two. For full-term babies, RSV typically is not any worse than a
common cold, but for preemies, the virus can be quite different. Babies born earlier than 36 weeks are at the highest risk for serious complications like pneumonia, bronchitis, and other sometimes fatal complications. The boys were born premature, are multiples, and all had low birth weights; these are among the highest risk factors for contracting RSV and developing serious complications. Preventing the spread of RSV is very difficult. So, we must be vigilant about keeping the boys safe during RSV season (October through April). The virus is spread through physical contact, in the air via a cough or sneeze, or by touching an infected object. The virus can live as long as six hours on hands and up to twelve hours on objects, and it spreads very easily, especially from child to child. Studies have also shown that infants pose an even higher risk of spreading RSV to others.
You might ask, “Can’t they fight it off and build up their immune system? Kids need to get sick, right?” The simple answer is NO. Since our babies were pre-term, they did not acquire the necessary immunities to fight off infection.
If they contract RSV, they could be hospitalized and develop serious complications.
We ask that all visitors do the following:
1. When you arrive, please wash your hands and use hand-sanitizer as needed before touching the boys.
2. Please refrain from coming over if you are currently sick and have not been symptom-free for at least 5
days, if you live with someone who is sick, or have been in close contact with someone who is sick.
3. If you are parents to a baby or toddler who has been sick, please refrain from bringing them over until they are well.

Last year we contracted RSV, it was a nightmare. It started with Logan then the other two got sick. By the time Logan was better he had contracted it again from Brody and Seth resulting in him getting severely dehydrated and a late night ER trip. It could've been worse a lot worse but it's definitely something we don't want to experience again.
Our goal is to make it through this RSV season without the boys contracting RSV or any other serious illness. Their lungs are still very fragile until they are 2-years-old.
Please understand that this letter is not meant to offend anyone, just simply to provide an explanation. We hope you understand, and while we'll still get out from time to time it will be less for the boys safety.

A long long, very long night...

Last night was a long and drawn out night, we hadn't had one this bad since I can't remember when. For some reason Brody woke up at midnight crying. His teeth have been hurting so I gave him some orajel and ibprofen but it didn't help. He just laid there crying all night long. One minute he was fine the next he was screaming. Needless to say mommy and daddy is exhausted today. Last time I looked at the clock it said 4. But by 7 the other two was up and feeling refreshed after sleeping through the night and not having any idea what craziness had gone on. I don't think it was he's teeth in the end, he finally wore himself out in our bed and eventually fell asleep. This morning he woke up fine and like nothing had happened. So who knows!?! UGH, all I know is mommy's running on 3hrs of sleep and feeling like crap. I think it's time for another cup of coffee. Oh it'll be nice when the day comes and they can tell me "mommy this hurts" so it's not a guessing game anymore.
